From Production Operative to Production Manager
Tom Woods’ 14-year Journey at BitBox so far
When Tom Woods joined BitBox on 4th July 2011, he started on the shop floor as a Production Operative. Fast forward to today—and as we approach nearly 14 years with Tom on the team—his story is a testament to what BitBox stands for: trust, development, and building people up from within.
Over the years, Tom has progressed through several key roles:
- Production Operative
- Team Leader
- Supervisor
- And now, Production Manager
Along the way, he’s learned valuable skills—not just in electronics manufacturing, but in communication, leadership, and empathy.
“I’ve learned a lot about myself and what I’m capable of. I’ve grown in my technical knowledge, my ability to handle different situations, and my understanding of people—because I’ve been in their shoes. I’ve always felt supported by my colleagues and trusted in every role I’ve taken on.”
Tom’s story is just one example of how BitBox invests in people. It’s also a reflection of our values when it comes to delivering for customers. Tom shares:
“At BitBox, we truly value our customers—because without them, there would be no BitBox. We treat every single product as if it were our own. The mindset here is: if it leaves our facility, it has the BitBox stamp on it. That means it’s built with care, pride, and attention to detail.
We go beyond just providing a service—we build relationships. Whether it's a tight deadline or a complex design challenge, we always try to go the extra mile.
At BitBox, we see both our staff and our customers as family. That’s what makes us different, and I’m grateful for the past 14 years here.”
Thank you, Tom, for your dedication and leadership—and here’s to many more milestones ahead.
