BitBox RoHS Compliance Statement

BitBox Ltd is committed to providing our customers with safe and environmentally friendly products that are compliant with the European Union RoHS Directive (Restriction of Hazardous Substances).    This document provides information about products manufactured by BitBox Ltd relative to this directive.


The European Union has established requirements for Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) in all Electrical and Electronic Equipment (EEE).  Please see directive, 2011/65/EU which entered into force 21 July 2011 becoming effective 2 January 2013.

Certification of Compliance

Unless clearly stated, BitBox Ltd certifies that to its knowledge all product manufactured is RoHS compliant and conforms to the requirements of the European Union’s Restriction on Use of Hazardous Substances in EEE RoHS directive, 2011/65/EU

RoHS compliant product means that:

  • The product is manufactured using compliant materials, components and processes.
  • Our suppliers have provided compliance status of materials and processes used.


The substances banned under RoHS are lead (Pb), mercury (Hg), cadmium (Cd), hexavalent chromium (CrVI), polybrominated biphenyls (PBB) and polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE).

To ensure continued RoHS compliance, BitBox:

  • Regularly audits a random selection of components currently being purchased
  • Considers the trustworthiness of BitBox suppliers at least annually
