BitBox has completed a contract for Creative Retail Entertainment to develop and manufacture a listening post system based around the storage of music files in encrypted MP3 format on a networked server.

The system is designed such that 64 listening posts can simultaneously play different music selections from one Linux server. The number of CDs that can be stored is limited only by the hard disk capacity of the server.

Each listening post is equipped with a bar-code scanner to quickly identify the CD to be played.
