Flinn Kenward joined BitBox nearly a year ago as an apprentice in his chosen engineering course at BCOT (Basingstoke College of Technology). We are very pleased how he has fitted in here and with the quality of his contribution to the company. We will continue to support Flinn throughout his apprenticeship
BitBox had a stand at the Southern Manufacturing and Electronics show 2014 in the FIVE venue at Farnborough airport.
We had a good level of interest in our electonics design and maufacturing capability and met a number of good new contacts.
This tiny PCB measuring only 22.75 x 14mm is our smallest board yet. With components on both sides, it is 4.1mm thick.
It has a broad input supply range of 2.4 to 12V, an ATMEGA2405RFR2 microcontroller, a MEMs sensor, a 2.4GHz aerial for Zigbee data - and a micro-SD slot!
The device is designed to run for months on a single battery storing data to a micro SD card.
