Marine data logger deployed in China EnviroTech has successfully installed two U-Tow marine data loggers on Chinese research vessels. These towed vehicles use two ESM-1 controller boards designed and supplied by BitBox The elevator fins are driven by intelligent stepper motor drives attached to the unique serial peripheral system (SPS) of the ESM-1. BitBox modified the shipboard EnviroTech software to work with the ESM-1 controllers over a 600 metre cable. |

BitBox Develops ESM-1 for EcoLAB EnviroTech has launched the EcoLAB, a new generation in-situ chemical analyzers for marine and freshwater applications. These analyzers use ESM-1 controller boards designed and supplied by BitBox Each EcoLAB uses two intelligent stepper motor drivers attached to the the SPS system of the ESM-1. An intelligent SPS device has been created to measure colour intensity for each chemical analysis within the EcoLAB. This greatly simplifies wiring, and makes the product assembly more modular. |

Networked listening posts use Linux server BitBox has completed a contract for Creative Retail Entertainment to develop and manufacture a listening post system based around the storage of music files in encrypted MP3 format on a networked server. The system is designed such that 64 listening posts can simultaneously play different music selections from one Linux server. The number of CDs that can be stored is limited only by the hard disk capacity of the server. Each listening post is equipped with a bar-code scanner to quickly identify the CD to be played.
